🔥 I’m neurospicy (and faceblind). But it’s a feature, not a bug! Read on for more about how I work—and how we can work together! And here's a good guide to communicating!

Prepare for…
Persistence, creativity, honesty, a complete lack of judgment, loyalty, empathy, flexibility, and a strong sense justice (voted most likely to pull the Andon cord), attention to detail broad strokes thinking 2 years ahead of the curve, plussing what we’re working on together.
Some things that might surprise you!
- Lots of questions You may be used to getting questions that “mean something”—but not with me! I will ask lots of questions if I’m really curious about what you have to say or seeking clarity! Don’t be afraid! This is how I build a working mental model.
- Unconventional process Judge my work by its outcomes, not my process!
- Interrupting Wait, what were you saying? Sometimes I will interrupt people due to latency on Zoom. But it also happens in person. Think of it this way: something you said kicked off a new process and it’s hogging up the RAM. Feel free to guide us back to what you were saying!
- Pebbling Gifts are how I show appreciation, so you may receive small gifts, from links I think you'll like to books to small things I've made. (Sadly, no cars or Apple Vision Pros.)
Strengths
- Laser focus on the user I watch, listen to, and advocate for users. I can see their pain at a system level and seek to unlock their potential. If there's something we can do to make them more awesome, I will champion it. Conversely, if something would have a negative impact on them, I will challenge it.
- Divergent thinking I generate lots of ideas—and will eagerly share them! Imagine a fish spawning at sea: many small ideas, but only one or two will survive the rigors of the real world and make it to adulthood. Let's feed the best ones! ****

🧠 I often will not “pick up” when an idea isn’t welcome. I don’t have the same context that you do. What can help is to explain to me “why” the idea is no good. Many people just need to know “what”—but I need to know “why!”
</aside>
- Outcome-driven I work backwards from the customer and our ideal outcome to find a way forward. ****I find ways to measure the impacts of our work to make sure we're on the right path to that outcome as we go. I am not afraid to stop doing something that isn't getting us there or isn't the best use of limited resources. Even best selling novelists have to "kill their darlings."
- Big picture thinking I see the big, long term picture and often miss finer details–designing a large system, but then failing a build for a typo—thank goodness for spellcheck, amiright?
